Airport Construction Project Update Week 3 (08/09/2024)
This week the Contractor completed construction of the infiltration basin for Taxiway A3. The pavement section for Taxilane Bravo and Taxiway A3 is up to aggregate base level.
Once the second watermain bacteria tests past, the Contractor will complete grading for the Parking Lot next week. Next week they will continue final grading of the site to prepare the site for bituminous paving.

Airport Construction Project Update Week 3 (08/02/2024):
This week the Contractor continued with construction of the pavement section for Taxiway A3 and Taxilane Bravo. The granular sand and aggregate base sections have been placed for Taxilane Bravo and the Contractor is working on the same for Taxiway A3. The infiltration basin for Taxilane Bravo was completed and they are working on the one for Taxiway A3.
Next week the Contractor plans to have all pavement section material placed, compacted, and graded for paving.

Airport Construction Project Update Week 2 (07/30/2024):
Last week the Contractor completed installation of the watermain and sanitary sewer utilities. Pressure testing of the watermain will be completed this week. Sanitary sewer requires a 30 day mandrel test after installation. For this reason, paving of the Parking Lot, Taxilane Bravo Extension and Taxiway A3 Extension will be completed the week of August 19th. This means for the Fly-In Breakfast, those surfaces will be gravel only but still usable for visitors.
This week the Contractor will continue hauling in fill material, installation of storm sewer utilities, and begin installation of the granular and aggregate material for the pavement section. They anticipate having all site preparation completed by next week.

Airport Construction Project Update Week 1 (07/19/2024):
The Contractor installed erosion and traffic control and began working on the watermain extension this week.
Watermain installation will continue into early next week after which they will begin sanitary sewer installation.
They anticipate being completed with utility extensions next week and then begin construction of the pavement section for the Taxiway A3 and Taxilane Bravo extensions.

Construction of the Taxiway A3 and Taxilane Bravo extension projects will begin on Monday, July 15th and is scheduled to be completed on August 16th. The project will involve extending Taxiway A3 from parallel Taxiway A to Taxilane Bravo and extending Taxilane Bravo to the north of Taxiway A2. Sanitary and watermain utilities will be extending along with Taxilane Bravo for future private hangar connections.
During this time, access to existing Taxiway A3 between parallel Taxiway A and Runway 31 will be closed.
Weekly construction updates will be provided at the end of each week.
